Multi-objective optimization of eco-industrial parks: assessment of environmental impacts at watershed scale.
Roxelane Cakir - HETWA CEO and President - collaborated on this article, the aim of which was to develop an approach based on multi-objective optimization through the combination of two models. The first consists in optimizing the water networks of business clusters to make them function as eco-industrial parks. Secondly, the impact of this ecological strategy/policy is studied on a larger scale: the Garonne watershed in France, modeled by a Material Flow Analysis (MFA). The ultimate aim of the project is to understand the impact of the implementation of an industrial zone on the Garonne territory as a whole.
